Bedford Park: Man Sought for Assault on Elderly Woman

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who they say is sought in connection with an assault on an elderly person on the border of Bedford Park and Kingsbridge Heights.

Police said that on Monday, Feb. 19, at around 11.30 a.m. in front of 2880 Jerome Avenue, an unidentified male approached a 67-year-old woman and struck her in the face with his elbow.

They said the man then fled on foot northbound along Jerome Avenue and the victim refused medical attention.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in this photo who they say is sought in connection with an assault on an elderly person at 2880 Jerome Avenue on the border of Bedford Park and Kingsbridge Heights on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024.

“The individual is described as a male, last seen wearing gold glasses, a blue/black knit hat, and an orange winter coat,” a police spokesperson said.
