Morrisania: Another Murder Inquiry Opens 8 Days After Anti-Gun Violence Vigil is Held

Police have opened a murder investigation following the shooting of a 38-year-old man in the head inside a car in Morrisania.   On Sunday, July 25, at approximately 2.28 a.m. police responded to a call regarding a person who had been shot opposite 589 East 164th Street in Morrisania, in the 42nd precinct. Man Disrupts Press Conference ahead of Anti-Gun Violence March

FURTHER UPDATE: Police Release Video of Suspect in Daylight Shooting in Kingsbridge Heights

Police confirmed a 26-year-old man was shot on West Kingsbridge Road sidewalk at the junction of Jerome Avenue and West Kingsbridge Road, on the border of Fordham Manor and Kingsbridge Heights in the Bronx on Friday, July 23, at around 4.36 p.m.   The shooting evolved from a dispute between the victim and another man and resulted in the victim being shot in the buttocks. Van Nest: Search for Group following Armed Robbery of Store

Three Bronx Men and a Woman Indicted for Sex Trafficking of Child & Other Charges

Bronx District Attorney (DA) Darcel D. Clark announced on July 6 that three Bronx men and a woman had been indicted on charges including sex trafficking of a child, promoting prostitution and other charges involving two female 15-year-olds and one female 18-year-old.   Clark said the defendants allegedly profited from the sex trafficking of vulnerable teens. “They manipulated these girls by all means: taking their money, beatings, strangling and drugs.
