Police have opened an investigation following the discovery of a body in the basement of a building in Bedford Park. Police responded to a call about a bad odor inside 2854 Briggs Avenue in Bedford Park in the 52nd precinct, on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at approximately 4.52 p.m. Upon arrival, officers observed a man, lying unconscious and unresponsive inside the basement of the location. Police confirmed on Wednesday, Nov. 3, that a man was arrested for the murder of Ronnell Garmie, 32, of Fordham Heights in the Bronx, who was shot on Aug. 3. Police are looking for a gunman who fired several shots on Decatur Avenue in Bedford Park, apparently striking the front window of an apartment building.
