UPDATE Bedford Park: Man, 30, Fatally Shot Inside Home, Woman, 31, Shot in Foot

A 30-year-old man is dead following an apparent double shooting incident in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx, police said. A 31-year-old woman was also shot, but survived.   An NYPD spokesperson said officers responded to a 911 call at 2830 Marion Avenue at 2.25 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 regarding a person who had been shot. Bedford Park Man Arrested on Murder Charges following Fatal Shooting of 20-Year-Old in Belmont

Police said a 25-year-old man from Bedford Park has been arrested in connection with the murder investigation of a 20 year-old-man that took place in Belmont on July 27.   A police spokesperson said, “On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at approximately 0409 hours, police responded to a male shot in front of 717 East 187 Street, within the confines of the 48 Precinct. Four Charged for Interstate Trafficking of Ghost Guns into Yonkers

Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Council Passes Historic Maternal Health Package to Help Address Racial Disparities

For the first time in the history of the City Council, on Thursday, Aug. 11, the legislative body passed a package of legislation addressing significant disparities in maternal health, mortality, and morbidity. UPDATE Boy, 14, Arrested following Shooting of 2nd 14-Year-Old Boy inside Fordham Manor Lobby

Police said they arrested a 14-year-old boy following the fatal shooting of another 14-year-old boy in the lobby of a Fordham Manor building that took place on Thursday.   An NYPD spokesperson said on Thursday, Aug. 11, at around 1.06 a.m. police were alerted to a report of a man, shot at East 194th Street and Briggs Avenue.
