Mpox Cases on the Rise Again

NYC Health officials are warning New Yorkers that mpox / MPV cases are once again on the rise in New York City, with 226 people in New York City having tested positive for mpox since Jan. 1, and 57 cases having been recorded in the last month (Aug. 10 to Sept. 11).

Morris Heights: Bronx Man Reported Missing Last Seen Blocks from Federal Plaza Courthouse in Manhattan

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 24-year-old man reported missing from the Morris Heights section of The Bronx who was last seen in lower Manhattan at an address opposite Manhattan Detention Center.   Police said Branden Lopez, 24, of 1928 University Avenue in The Bronx was last seen leaving 139 Centre Street in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at around 9.17 a.m. They said he’s described as White, Hispanic, male, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs around 310 pounds, has brown hair, and brown eyes.
