St. Barnabas High School Choir Performing at Cargenie Hall, Sunday, Feb. 19, at 7.30 p.m.

It all started last summer when student, Gabrielle Cruz, a member of the St. Barnabas High School (SBHS) choir who also plays the piano, spotted a brochure about a program called “Voices in the Hall” on the desk of SBHS teacher and co-choir director, Sharon Traditi. “We should do this!” Gabrielle excitedly said. “What an experience to perform at Carnegie Hall!”   And so, the idea began taking shape with more students in September getting excited about the possibility of taking to the stage of Manhattan’s iconic performance venue. Envisioning Process for Kingsbridge Armory Continues

The envisioning process to decide on the future use of the Kingsbridge Armory, located at Jerome Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, is continuing, and follows previous updates on the project. Norwood’s P.S. / M.S. 20 Hydroponic Farm Program Expands to 20 Schools

Overnight Truck Parking Survey Launched

City Hall has convened a Task Force with relevant City agencies to address overnight truck parking in NYC and to assess potential solutions. According to City officials, existing regulations prohibit commercial vehicles from parking on residential streets overnight, but the problem has persisted, particularly in outer borough neighborhoods.   They said that with the increased use of freight and expected industry growth, the City needs to examine the trends and data, and come up with solutions that will be long term and sustainable. Bronx BP Launches Digital Community Board Application Process, CB7 Hiring District Manager

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L.
