No D Train Service during upcoming Weekends between 161st St.-Yankee Stadium and Norwood-205th St.

MTA officials have advised that due to more needed maintenance work, there will be no D train service operating between the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium subway station and the Norwood-205th Street station during the following weekends: Friday, Sept. 29, from 11.30 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 2, at 5 a.m. The D service will run between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and 161st Street-Yankee Stadium, the last stop. Following their arrests in The Bronx on murder, attempted murder, and other serious charges, Grei Mendez, the owner/caretaker of the Kingsbridge Heights daycare center where, as reported, one-year-old Nicholas Dominici lost his life on Friday, Sept. 15, and Carlisto Acevedo Brito, her accomplice, were also hit with further federal drug trafficking charges in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
