Bedford Park: Gunman Sought Following Marion Ave Non-Fatal Shooting

NYPD detectives are looking for the gunman who shot a man in the hand on Marion Avenue in Bedford Park.

 

According to police officials, the gunfire erupted at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, when officers from the 52nd Precinct were called to 2700 Marion Avenue, between East 195th Street and East 196th Street, for a report of a person shot.

A police spokesperson told Norwood News, “Upon arrival of police to the location, a 32-year-old male reported that he was engaged in a dispute with an unknown male in front of the location.”

 

He added, “The unknown individual displayed a black firearm and shot him in the right hand.”

Police said EMS transported the still-unidentified victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was reported to be in “stable” condition.

Police reported no arrests and although there is a camera in front of the building, they said no suspect description was available.

 

Norwood News reached out to the Dream Reality Corporation, believed to be the building’s property manager, for comment. We did not receive an immediate response.
