UPDATE NYS Cannabis Control Board to Hold Public Board Meeting on Friday, Dec. 8, Court Rules Applications Can Continue

The New York State Cannabis Control Board will hold a public board meeting on Friday, Dec. 8, at 10.30 a.m. at Empire State Plaza Convention Center, Meeting Rooms 6, Albany, NY 12242. Members of the public are invited to comment, should they wish to do so. The event will also be livestreamed. Meanwhile, a court has lifted an injunction, put in place since August 2023, to allow the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) to continue reviewing applications for Conditional Adult Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) licenses.

Mt. Hope: Two Sought in Home Invasion & Armed Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying and locating the people seen in the attached photos who they say are sought in connection with an armed home invasion and robbery that occurred in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx.

UPDATE FDNY Called to Tracey Towers for Compactor Fire

A compactor fire at Tracey Towers, the twin-tower, Mitchel Lama, residential housing complex located on the Bedford Park/Norwood border, on Saturday, Nov. 25, resulted in no injuries, according to the FDNY.
