UPDATE Bedford Park: Man Shot, Will Likely Survive, Police Request Help to ID Another Man

The NYPD said a 22-year-old man was shot in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx and the department released photos of a person of interest sought in connection with the case. The shooting took place on Thursday, March 10, at around 4 p.m., opposite 2995 Botanical Square.   Police officials said the gunman approached the male victim, produced a gun, and shot him once in the abdomen. Bronx DA: Man Charged for Attempted Rape of Pregnant Woman

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. City Issues ‘Winter Operations Advisory’ for Wednesday, March 9, from 6 a.m.

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has issued a winter operations advisory for Wednesday, March 9, beginning at 6 a.m., in advance of expected snowfall. A winter operations advisory is the department’s lower level winter weather message, as opposed to the higher level “snow alert.”   Following warm temperatures earlier in the week, snow is expected to fall throughout the day Wednesday. Accumulation on pavement is not likely, but a coating to two inches may accumulate on unpaved surfaces. Bronx DA: Rikers Island Inmate Charged with Scalding Correction Officer

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Baychester Vicinity: Gunman Shoots 27-Year-Old Man During Attempted Robbery

Norwood: Shelter Resident Arrested following Assault as Homelessness Debate Continues
