Group Sought in Robbery Pattern Traced Across The Bronx & Manhattan

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person and vehicle seen in the attached photos in the context of a robbery pattern which has been traced across The Bronx and Manhattan during April and May 2023.   The first incident occurred in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx in the 50th Precinct, police said. Bedford Park: FDNY Says Afternoon Fire Results in No Injuries

A 2-alarm fire in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Thursday resulted in no injuries, FDNY officials said.   The blaze broke out on the 1st floor of a residential building at 5 Minerva Place by Jerome Avenue and Creston Avenue, FDNY officials said, adding that they were alerted to the incident at 1.25 p.m. on Thursday, May 25. An FDNY spokesperson said 25 units, comprising 106 firefighters responded to the scene at the 6-story building and the blaze was placed under control at 2.54 p.m. The spokesperson added that the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fordham Manor: Search for Missing 70-Year-Old Woman

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating Leone Ultan, 70, who was reported missing from Fordham Manor on Wednesday, May 24.  Police said that Ultan of 2550 Webb Avenue was last seen leaving her home on Thursday, May 4, at around 7.25 p.m. She was described by police as female, has a light complexion and white hair, is around 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs around 105 pounds. Farrah Kule Rubin Appointed as New District Manager of Bronx Community Board 8

Farrah Kule Rubin is the new Bronx Community Board 8 district manager. Neighbors Lost to COVID Remembered at Annual Ceremony

A now annual COVID memorial ceremony was once again held by local northwest Bronx residents, including Friends of Jerome Park, at Fort Washington Walk at the corner of Reservoir Avenue and University Avenue in Jerome Park on Saturday, May 13, to commemorate those lost to COVID-19 over the course of the recent pandemic.   On Oct. 23, 2021, a tree-planting ceremony took place at the same location to memorialize all victims of the pandemic. Montefiore Einstein Give Out Free New Bikes to P.S. 199 Students during National Bike Safety Month

Twenty-eight students from P.S. 199, The Shakespeare School, were the lucky recipients of new bikes last week thanks to the Montefiore School Health Program and the Montefiore Einstein Center for Performance Improvement.   The bikes were presented to the students at their school, located at 1449 Shakespeare Avenue in the Mt. UPDATE Bedford Park: Motor Vehicle Accident Reportedly Results in One Injured Scooter Driver
