Rape statistics have climbed in the 46th, 50th and 52nd Precincts as of Aug. 10 according to the latest major crime statistics from the NYPD.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they say is wanted for questioning in connection with a rape that occurred in the vicinity of the Charlotte Gardens section of the Bronx.

Bronx High School Guidance Counselor Charged with Having Sexual Affair with Student

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Aug. 15 that a Yonkers woman who worked as a guidance counselor at a Bronx high school has been indicted on third-degree rape and additional charges for repeatedly having sex with a teenage boy who was a student in her school.

Jamila Islam, the wife of NYPD Det. First Grade Didarul Islam, who was fatally shot during a Midtown Manhattan mass shooting last month, gave birth to a new baby body at a Manhattan hospital on Sunday, Aug. 17, police officials said on Monday, Aug. 18.

Police have opened a homicide investigation after a 45-year-old Manhattan man was killed in the University Heights section of The Bronx. One neighbor alleged she witnessed an argument taking place between the victim and a woman earlier on the day of the murder.
