UPDATE 15-Year-Old Fordham Manor Missing Girl Located

NYPD officials said a 15-year-old girl who had been reporting missing from Fordham Manor has been located.   Prior to being located, police had said that Khaidley Rodriguez had last been seen on Sunday, April 23, at around 3 a.m. inside her Heath Avenue home. She was described as female, around 5 feet, 4 inches tall, Black Hispanic, weighing around 126 pounds, with brown eyes and dark colored hair.   On Monday, May 1, police said the 15-year-old had been “located safely.”

Norwood: Man Arrested in Ongoing Murder Inquiry following Stabbing of 53-Year-Old Man

The NYPD has launched a murder inquiry following the death of a 53-year-old man in Norwood on Tuesday, April 25.   Police said that on Thursday, April 13, at approximately 12.07 in the afternoon, officers from the 52nd Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been stabbed at the corner of Bainbridge Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway North in Norwood.   “Upon arrival, officers observed a 53-year-old male with stab wounds to the torso,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious condition.”   According

DynaDrive Fresh Water Well Pumps Recalled Due to Risk of Electric Shock

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on April 20 of about 1,060 units of DynaDrive Fresh Water Well Pumps with model numbers DD60-10NPT and DD90-11NPT and serial numbers between 190791000 and 223365720, due to the fact that the pumps are not adequately grounded and can pose an electric shock hazard to the user.   CPSC officials said the recalled products are water pumps used to stabilize water pressure for fresh water wells. Consumer Alert: NYS Consumer Protection Division Offers Scam Prevention Tips for Renters

New York Department of State’s Division of Consumer Protection announced the release earlier this month of a comprehensive guide with practical tips to help New Yorkers identify and avoid rental scams.
