One person was hospitalized following a car crash in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Sunday, April 12, FDNY/EMS officials said.
An FDNY/EMS spokesperson said the departments received a call at 9.27 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a two-vehicle car accident at East 199th Street and Briggs Avenue.
They said one person was transported to a local area hospital and their condition and description was unknown. Due to HIPPA regulation, hospitals will not release patient information to the media.
Norwood News has also contacted the NYPD for more information on the accident and will share more information as it becomes available.
As reported, parked vehicle was damaged after it was seemingly rear-ended following a hit & run incident on Saturday, April 11, in the Riverdale section of The Bronx, police said.
As reported, emergency services were called to put out a fire in an unoccupied, burning car on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Saturday morning, April 11, according to the NYPD.

As also reported, one person incurred minor injuries following a separate car accident also in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Sunday afternoon, April 12, according to FDNY / EMS officials.
Meanwhile, according to Instagram user, @kidelectrik, a car was seen overturned and in flames on the Major Deegan Expressway, just before the RFK bridge in the Port Morris section of the South Bronx also on Saturday night. “Prayers go out to whoever was in that car,” @kidelectrick wrote. Norwood News has reached out to the FDNY for more details on this incident and will share any additional information we receive.

As reported, emergency services and a tow truck were called when a car crashed into a wall in the East Fordham Road tunnel at Southern Boulevard in the Belmont section of The Bronx on Sunday, April 12.

Elsewhere, as reported, the FDNY was called to East 204th Street and Mosholu Parkway on Saturday night, April 11, after a child got locked inside a car.
There were minor injuries reported after a two vehicle crash on the Grand Concourse in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on March 30.

Fifteen people were injured following a bus collision in the Edenwald section of The Bronx on Friday, April 10, EMS officials said.
As reported, a 32-year-old man died following a bus-motorcycle collision outside Tracey Towers also in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Wednesday, April 8.
Prior to this, as reported, three people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle car crash on West Gun Hill Road in Norwood on March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, no injuries were reported following a three-vehicle crash on the Major Deegan Expressway on Sunday, March 22, while two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle collision in Norwood on Jerome Avenue and Mosholu Parkway the same day.
