Norwood: Three Hospitalized following a Two-Vehicle Car Crash on West Gun Hill Road

Three people were hospitalized following a car accident in the Norwood section of The Bronx on Tuesday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, according to EMS.

 

TWO WHITE CARS are seen damaged, one on its side, following a two-vehicle collision at 38 West Gun Hill Road by Gates Place in the Norwood section of The Bronx on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Police, bystanders and EMS/FDNY units and personnel are also seen on scene.

An FDNY/EMS spokesperson said that the accident occurred at 38 West Gun Hill Road near Gates Place at 5.08 p.m. on March 17, and involved two cars.

Images captured on the Citizens App show two white damaged saloon vehicles, one which had flipped and was seen on on its side, along with police, and EMS units on scene.

The EMS spokesperson said three people were taken to local area hospitals following the crash, and that their descriptions and conditions are unknown.

With collision investigations, the NYPD handles all criminal aspects of the investigation, while NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) reviews the street design at the locations of such crashes.
