The New York Lottery announced one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the April 28 TAKE 5 drawing. The ticket, worth $60,435.50, was purchased at Jannatul Ferdous, located at 49 West Fordham Rd., in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx. The five winning numbers for the TAKE 5 game are drawn from a field of one to 39. The TAKE 5 drawing is televised every day at 10:30 p.m. A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing. Opening of Lehman College Vaccination Site On Tuesday, April 20, Lehman College, CUNY formally announced that it has partnered with the City to launch the Bronx’s newest COVID-19 vaccination hub, located at the college’s APEX Athletic Center at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West in the borough’s Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood, as reported by Norwood News. Car theft in the 52nd precinct rose by 29.3 percent between Jan. 1 and April 25, according to crime statistics recorded by the NYPD, totaling 53 incidents, versus 41 for the same period last year. The precinct covers Norwood, Bedford Park, Fordham, Kingsbridge, Bronx Park, and University Heights. Meanwhile, the 47th precinct, which covers Woodlawn, Wakefield, Williamsbridge, Baychester, Edenwald, Olinville, Fishbay, and Woodlawn Cemetary, has experienced a whopping 156.7 percent increase in car theft during the same period.
