Update: Scooter Rider Killed by Amazon Truck in Van Nest

Police are still looking to identify a male scooter driver, three days after he was struck and killed by an Amazon delivery truck in Van Nest.   On Tuesday, June 22, police spokeswoman, Detective Denise Moroney said the collision took place outside 1230 East Tremont Avenue, between Van Nest Avenue and Morris Park Avenue, at 7:18 p.m., on Saturday, June 19. “Police responded to a call of a person struck by a vehicle,” she said. ” Upon arrival, officers observed a male lying unconscious and unresponsive on the street in front of the location with severe trauma.”   She continued,

Fordham Manor: Search for Missing 16-Year-Old Mother & Three-Month-Old Son

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating two people in reported missing on Tuesday, June 22, in Fordham Manor.   Katerin Thomas, 16, of 2710 Bainbridge Avenue and her son, Joshua Castillo, 3 months, also of 2710 Bainbridge Avenue in Fordham Manor were both last seen by their uncle on Sunday, June 13, at approximately 6 p.m. inside their home.   Photos of both missing persons are attached.   Anyone with information in regard to these missing persons is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Update: Primary Elections 2021, Preliminary Unofficial Results Reported on Election Night

The New York City Board of Elections released the unofficial results of the June 22 primary elections on Tuesday night, following poll closures at 9 p.m.   Unofficial results on Election Night saw Oswald Feliz in the lead in the District 15 Democratic primary, with 39 percent of the vote share, Eric Dinowitz in the lead in the District 11 Democratic primary, with 41 percent of the vote share, and Pierina Sanchez in the lead in District 14 Democratic primary, with 39 percent of the vote share. Bronx Civil Court Judgeship Election: NYC Bar Assocation Rates Candidates

The New York City Bar Association announced on June 16 that is has completed evaluations of the following candidates who are running in contested primary elections on June 22 for Civil Court. The review was conducted by the association’s committee on the judiciary. Update: Morris Heights Man involved in Citywide Police Impersonation Scam Arrested

Olinville: Nine Injured in Multiple Vehicle Accident, No Fatalities

Nine people have incurred non life-threatening injuries following a multiple vehicle accident on the Bronx River Parkway in Olinville.   On Saturday, June 19, at around 7.36 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision on Bronx River Parkway (southbound lane) in the vicinity of East 219th Street, located in the 47th precinct.   After a preliminary investigation, police said a female driver told officers she had been driving a 2020 Honda (Vehicle #3) in the far right parkway lane, and had been attempting to change lanes into the middle lane when a second vehicle recklessly
