The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has advised of the following weekend street and bridge closures in the Bronx from Oct. 29 to Oct. 31. Tilden Street between Barnes Avenue and Bronxwood Avenue: This street will be closed Friday and Saturday from 8am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 6pm through 11/10/21 to facilitate crane operation. East 144th Street between Gerard Avenue and Exterior Street: This street will be closed from 7am to 3pm through 11/30/21 to facilitate crane operation. Alternate Side Parking to be Suspended in Early November

  Alternate Side Parking (ASP) regulations for street cleaning purposes will be suspended on Thursday, November 4, for the Diwali holiday.   ASP will also be suspended from Monday to Tuesday, Nov. 1 to Nov. 2, for All Saints’ Day and for Election Day.   Meters will remain in effect.

A 58-year-old Norwood resident told the Norwood News he was the victim of verbal harassment and an attempted robbery on East Gun Hill Road in the early hours of Thursday, Oct. 14. The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing from Bedford Park, located in the 52nd precinct.   Yesenia Soto, 13, of 2876 Briggs Avenue, Bronx, NY, was last seen Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 at 8 a.m., leaving her home.
