Mt. Hope: Man Sought after Woman is Punched, Kicked on MTA Bus amid Dispute

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached media who they say is wanted in connection with an assault that occurred aboard an MTA bus in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx.

 

Police said that on Friday, Feb. 23, at around 5.15 p.m., the victim, a 33-year-old woman, was on the MTA Bx2 bus in the vicinity of East Tremont Avenue and Grand Concourse when an unidentified person rubbed the right side of her buttock.

 

They said the victim and the assailant then got into a verbal argument, and a physical altercation ensued, with the assailant allegedly and repeatedly punching and kicking the victim about the body. They said the victim also sustained a slashed wound to the face and was transported by EMS to BronxCare Health System in stable condition. “The individual fled the location on foot to parts unknown,” police said.

Police said the suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion, is estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, weighs around 100–135 pounds, is estimated to be between 5 feet, 7 inches and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and has a slim build. They said he was last seen wearing a black or gray jacket, black and blue jeans, a pink backpack, white sneakers, and a large Bluetooth headphone set.
