Police are looking for two men wanted in connection with a stabbing reported in front of 2527 Valentine Avenue, between East 196th Street and East Fordham Road on Tuesday, April 18.

Police officials say the 28-year-old male victim was walking southbound at 2.25 a.m. when he was approached and stabbed by two assailants. The victim was stabbed in the abdomen and calf before the suspects fled the scene, an NYPD spokesperson said.

“The victim was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital and was said to be in stable condition,” the spokesperson said. Police have not made any arrests in the case but continue to investigate. When contacted to corroborate a reported description of the suspects sought in relation to the incident provided by a third party, the NYPD could not immediately confirm.

As reported, three days before this stabbing, a 25-year-old local man was arrested for attempted murder and other charges following a daylight shooting on Valentine Avenue and East 197th Street in nearby Bedford Park on Saturday April 15.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
