Medical Examiner Releases Results of Brain Exam on Shooter Who Killed Det. First Grade Didarul Islam
The Office of the City’s Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) announced on Friday, Sept. 26, the results of a neuropathological examination of Shane Tamura, the gunman who died by suicide after carrying out the fatal mass shooting of four people, including 47th Precinct NYPD Det. First Grade Didarul Islam, a husband and father, at 345 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan on July 28.

The NYPD said a 26-year-old man has been arrested following a rape that occurred in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx earlier this month. Detectives had been asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they said was wanted in connection with the incident.
