For Community Board 7 (CB7), reaching vaccine-hesitant veterans in the Bronx has been one of the Veterans’ Affairs committee’s top concerns. Their conversation continued at their most recent committee meeting held on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021. On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Bronxites gathered at various memorial events across the borough to honor the memories of those lost during the September 11th attacks in 2001. The U.S. Defense Prisoner of War (POW) / Missing in Action (MIA) Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced on Monday, Sept. 20, that U.S. Army 1st Lt. Anthony R. Mazzulla, 26, of The Bronx, New York, killed during the Korean War, was accounted for on May 28, 2020.
