University Heights: Hochul Announces $55 Million State Investment to Advance Fordham Landing Project
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was joined by various elected officials in the University Heights section of The Bronx on Oct. 21 to announce a $55 million Empire State Development (ESD) investment to advance Fordham Landing South, Phase I of what has been described as a transformative, 100 percent affordable housing project planned along the Harlem River.
Seven Bronx Men Charged in Federal Court for Stolen Car Sale Racket involving Unsuspecting Buyers
City, State, and federal law enforcement officials announced the unsealing on Friday, Nov. 14, of a complaint charging eight Bronx men in connection with running a years-long car theft operation primarily in The Bronx and Queens involving over 100 stolen cars, primarily Honda, Acura, and Jeep vehicles, estimated to be worth millions of dollars.
Automated Camera Enforcement (ACE) MTA Program Expands to Q6, Bx20, Bx3 and Bx7
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is reminding motorists that the Automated Camera Enforcement (ACE) program fines became effective on four more bus routes on Thursday, Nov. 13 i.e. on the Q6, Bx20, Bx3 and Bx7 bus routes and vehicles improperly using busways and bus lanes, blocking bus stops, or illegally double parked will receive summonses that start at $50 and escalate to $250 for repeat violators.
