New York City Department of Emergency Management Services (EMS) updated New Yorkers on Saturday on the City’s response to the most recent snow storm, saying Sanitation workers were working to clear roadways as quickly as possible, with 1,800 plows dispatched throughout the five boroughs. As reported, Mayor Eric Adams paid another trip to the Bronx in the space of a week on Saturday to assess the snow situation on the ground, as he did in other boroughs also. “Yes, up in the Bronx on Tiffany Street. Roads are slippery out here today, and so, be careful,” he said.

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) issued a snow alert for Friday, Jan. 28, beginning at 4 p.m. The alert is in effect through all of Saturday and into Sunday morning. The NYPD has confirmed that a 41-year-old Bronx man has died following a car accident. On Sunday, Jan. 9, at approximately 4.04 a.m., police responded to a 911 call following a vehicle collision which occurred on the southbound Major Deegan Expressway at West 233rd Street on the Kingsbridge border. One person was transported to hospital following a road accident in Throggs Neck. The FDNY reported that emergency services received a call regarding an incident at 1.39 p.m. on Jan. 13, at Harding Avenue and Revere Avenue in the Throggs Neck section of The Bronx for a report of an overturned vehicle and motor vehicle accident involving an overturned vehicle. They said one person was transported to Albert Einstein Hospital. No details of injuries were known. Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Tuesday, Jan. 18, that a Bronx man has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and other charges, following a deadly crash on East Fordham Road last summer. A 20-year-old male passenger has died, and a 19-year-old male driver remains in hospital, following a motor vehicle collision in Hunts Point, police said. On Saturday, Jan. 8, at approximately 5.18 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Manida Street and Oak Point Avenue in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx, located in the 41st precinct.
