The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 17-year-old youth who was reported missing on Sunday, May 23, in the 42nd precinct. Jamel Martinez, 17, of 440 East 105 Street, Apartment 10D in Manhattan was last seen at 950 Jennings Street, in the vicinity of Charlotte Gardens in The Bronx, at 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 22. Jamel is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, gray sweatpants and multicolor sneakers. A photo is attached. The NYPD confirmed an accident involving three vehicles occurred at Fordham Road and Webster Avenue on the border of Fordham Manor and Fordham Heights, last weekend. Police said the three impacted vehicles included a parked 2006 Acura, a 2021 Toyota, and a second 2006 Acura. According to eye witness reports, the accident happened on Saturday, May 15, at around 9.30 a.m. This was later confirmed by police. Two people are dead following a crash on the Major Deegan Expressway. New York City has opened its Section 8 housing waiting list for the first time since 2006. The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program is a federal program designed to provide rental assistance to low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to help them find decent, safe, and sanitary housing. The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individual seen in the attached photo who is sought in connection to an assault that occurred in the 46th precinct, in Fordham Heights. On Sunday, May 16, at approximately 10.08 a.m., the suspect approached a 48-year-old man in the vicinity of East 184th Street and the Grand Concourse, and displayed a knife.
