Ocasio-Cortez, Bowman Send Letter to FEMA, Requesting Additional Aid for Ida Victims

    Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) and Jamaal Bowman (NY-16) sent a letter dated Nov. 30 to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) asking them to provide additional aid to victims of Hurricane Ida. This follows the release of data which shows that nearly 10,000 applications for disaster relief in Queens and The Bronx were denied. UPDATE Fordham Manor: Arrest Made following Fatal Daylight Shooting of 62-Year-Old Man

  Video courtesy of the Citizen’s App. Police confirm having arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the fatal, daylight shooting of a 62-year-old man in Fordham Manor last December.   As previously reported, the NYPD confirmed a 62-year-old man died following the afternoon incident which took place on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. at Aqueduct Avenue and West Fordham Road, in Fordham Manor.   Upon arrival, police discovered the male victim had been shot in the head. Belmont: Search for Gunman Who Shot 17-Year-Old in Leg

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 14-year-old girl reported missing on Saturday, Dec. 4.   Clarisa Cabrera, 14, of 3235 Grand Concourse in the Jerome Park section of the Bronx, was last seen on Friday, Dec. 3, at approximately 3 p.m., at her school, located at 240 East 172nd Street, close to Claremont Park in the Bronx, NY.   She is described as female, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall, Hispanic, weighs 170 pounds, has a thin build, light complexion, brown eyes, brown hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and black sneakers.

  With the deadline to apply for federal disaster assistance only seven days away, FEMA is reminding Bronxites who incurred losses or damage from Hurricane Ida that the agency provides financial assistance to eligible individuals and households who have incurred uninsured or underinsured necessary expenses as a result of the storm. The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of a 63-year-old man reported missing on Tuesday, Nov. 23, from the Kingsbridge neighborhood, located in the 50th precinct.   Thomas Rosa, Thomas, 63, of  3632 Tibbett Avenue in Kingsbridge was last seen at his home at 11.30 hours on Tuesday, Nov. 23. UPDATE Police Impersonators Get Away with $130K in Cash and Jewels after Home Invasion
