Kingsbridge Heights Community Center Hosts Annual Harvest Fest

Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) held its annual Harvest Fest at the center, located in the Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood, on Oct. 28. The event featured raffles, vaccine and voting information, and various activities and stands.   Margaret Della, chief executive director of KHCC, said the Harvest Fest used to be held indoors, but last year they moved it outside as a COVID-19 safety precaution. “This was, like, the first event that we had where we were bringing people back together again, and it was so fun,” she said. The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance locating a woman who was reported missing in Mt Hope, located in the 46th precinct. Allerton: 45-Year-Old Man Dies following Scooter Accident

Police confirm a 45-year-old man has died following a scooter accident in Allerton.   It was reported that on Oct. 27, at 8.21 p.m., the operator of a Cycleboard rover scooter was traveling southbound along Bronx Park East,  approaching Waring Avenue, in the Allerton section of the Bronx when he lost control of the scooter and struck his head on the ground.   The victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased on Nov. 11. The victim has been identified as Marvin Campbell, 45, of Bussing Avenue in the Wakefield section of the Bronx.  

14-Year-Old Student Brought to Jacobi Hospital following Stabbing at Walton High School

  Police confirmed that a 14-year-old student was brought to Jacobi Medical Center, following a stabbing on Friday inside Walton High School in Kingsbridge Heights.   At 12.51 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, police responded to a call from the school. Upon arrival, officers were informed by school staff that two students had gotten into a physical altercation in a classroom. During the fight, a 15-year-old male student stabbed another 14-year-old male student in the chest with scissors. Brooklyn Resident Reported Missing in 52nd Precinct

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a 44-year-old man from Brooklyn who was reported missing on Monday, Nov. 15, from within the confines of the Bronx’s 52nd precinct.   John Thorton, 44, of 1597 Sedgwick Avenue in Brooklyn was last seen at his home in Brooklyn at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15. Storm Prediction Center Issues “Severe Thunderstorm Watch” for New York until 2.30 p.m. Nov. 13

The National Weather Service (NWS) storm predictor center issued a severe thunderstorm watch on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 12:24 p.m., which is effective immediately and remains in effect until 2.30 p.m. (Nov. 13). Missing South Carolina Man Last Seen in Fordham Heights

The family of a South Carolina man is asking for the public’s help in locating Andrew Jerome Ashe, 27, who was last seen leaving a relative’s home on Walton Avenue in Fordham Heights.   According to the missing man’s aunt, Fordham Heights resident, Divene Gabriel, Ashe has been missing since the end of August 2021.
