Norwood News has received an as yet unconfirmed report of a slashing in Fordham Heights.

Users of the Citizens’ app posted an unverified video on Saturday, March 19, at around 4.30 p.m., reportedly showing police and FDNY/EMS presence in the vicinity of Tiebout Avenue and East Fordham Road in or around that time, reportedly following an alleged slashing of a man in the back, with a suspect having allegedly fled the scene, armed with a knife.

Norwood News contacted the NYPD to corroborate the incident. As of 6.42 p.m. on Saturday, no official police report was available. On Sunday, March 20, we checked back with the NYPD and a representative responded, saying, “No assault reports on file for that location.”
