New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) issued a weather advisory on Friday, Jan. 14, advising that the New York City area may experience severe weather, including potential intermittent wind gusts of up to 50 MPH, starting Jan. 14, and continuing into Monday, Jan. 17. DSNY Issues Snow Alert from Thursday, January 6, beginning 7 p.m., through Friday

The New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a “snow alert” for Thursday, Jan. 6, from 7 p.m. The alert will stay in effect for a minimum of 24 hours.   Based on prevailing forecasts, the department expects snowfall to begin Thursday evening, with a possibility of up to 6 inches of snow falling overnight and into Friday afternoon. DSNY Issues ‘Winter Operations Advisory’ for Monday, Jan. 3
