UPDATE Charges Dropped against Bronx Cop Arrested in Alleged Groping Incident

A Bronx NYPD officer who was arrested following groping allegations has had the related charges dropped due to lack of evidence, according to a media report.   An NYPD spokesperson said that on Sunday, Sept.11, at 11 p.m., the off-duty NYPD officer was arrested and charged in the 44th Precinct, which covers the Grand Concourse, Bronx Terminal Market, and Yankee Stadium.   Police said Julio Alcantara-Santiago, 38, assigned to Transit District 11, which covers 161st Street and Yankee Stadium subway station, and who is a police officer since 2013, was arrested on charges of forcible touching and sex abuse.

Norwood: Man and Woman Shot amid Dispute

  A man and a woman have been shot amid a dispute in Norwood. Morris Heights: 41-Year-Old Man Dies following Fatal Stabbing

A 41-year-old man has died following a stabbing incident in Morris Heights.   An NYPD spokesperson said, “On Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at approximately 19.20 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed in front of 20 Richmond Plaza, within the confines of the 46 Precinct.”   The man was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital with a stab wound to the left side of the neck, and was pronounced deceased, according to police. “There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing,” the NYPD spokesperson said.
