A 59-year-old female pedestrian is in critical condition following a motor vehicle accident in the Little Yemen section of The Bronx. On Friday, Sept. 9, at around 6.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian who was struck at the intersection of Bronxdale Avenue and Cruger Avenue in the Little Yemen section of The Bronx, located south of Pelham Parkway, in the 49th Precinct. A 31-year-old male pedestrian is in critical condition following an early morning motor vehicle collision on the Major Deegan Expressway, police said. A Bronx NYPD officer who was arrested following groping allegations has had the related charges dropped due to lack of evidence, according to a media report. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Sunday, Sept.11, at 11 p.m., the off-duty NYPD officer was arrested and charged in the 44th Precinct, which covers the Grand Concourse, Bronx Terminal Market, and Yankee Stadium. Police said Julio Alcantara-Santiago, 38, assigned to Transit District 11, which covers 161st Street and Yankee Stadium subway station, and who is a police officer since 2013, was arrested on charges of forcible touching and sex abuse.

A man and a woman have been shot amid a dispute in Norwood. The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance locating the individual seen in the attached video and photo who is sought in connection to the shooting. A 41-year-old man has died following a stabbing incident in Morris Heights. An NYPD spokesperson said, “On Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at approximately 19.20 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed in front of 20 Richmond Plaza, within the confines of the 46 Precinct.” The man was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital with a stab wound to the left side of the neck, and was pronounced deceased, according to police. “There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing,” the NYPD spokesperson said.
