UPDATE 56-Year-Old Bronx Man Arrested for Stabbing of Cab Driver

The New York Federation of Taxi Drivers (NYSFTD) held a press conference in The Bronx on Wednesday, Nov. 26, to call for justice for a cab driver who was critically injured in an early morning stabbing in The Bronx and to announce a $5,000 reward for information on the perpetrator.

Late-Stage Lung Cancer Diagnoses Plumet to a New Low in The Bronx though Borough Has Highest Rates in NYC

The five-year survival rate for Stage I or Stage II lung cancer is now more than 65%, compared to just 8% for later-Stages III and IV of the disease, according to the American Lung Association. The news was welcomed by Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center (MECCC) officials who said their clinicians are now finding cancers when they are most treatable and curable thanks to enhanced screening, novel care, access to clinical trials, and community education.

Five Alleged Trinitarios Gang Members Charged in Bronx Jewelry Store Gunpoint Robbery Spree

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Friday, Nov. 21, that four men and a 16-year-old boy were indicted on first-degree robbery, conspiracy, grand larceny and other related charges for seven gunpoint robberies that took place in the Kingsbridge, Fordham Heights and Mott Haven sections of The Bronx, among others, that netted them nearly $100,000 in jewelry. The other locations included parts of Northern Manhattan but are being handled separately by the Office of the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
