On Monday, May 2, 2020 at approximately 5:04 a.m., police officers responded to 62 East 182nd Street within the confines of the 46th precinct regarding a report of an assault. A 53-year-old male reported to police that he was shot in the back by an unidentified individual in front of 2200 Morris Avenue. The suspect fled the scene and the victim was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, where he was treated and later released. The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individual in the attached photo and video wanted for questioning in connection with a burglary within the confines of the 44th precinct. On Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at approximately 9:25 a.m., a 58-year-old male employee entered a Bodega on 238 East 161st Street and discovered the side door lock was damaged. On Thursday, May 28, 2020 at approximately 7:58 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person stabbed at 861 Tinton Avenue within the confines of the 40th precinct. Upon arrival, officers determined that a 32-year-old male was stabbed in the abdomen. EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced deceased. A person was taken in for questioning and the investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification. The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the male depicted in the attached surveillance photo and video wanted for questioning in connection with an assault that occurred within the confines of the 44th precinct. On Friday, May 8, 2020 at approximately 6:00 p.m., in front of 1052 Anderson Ave, a 22-year-old male victim became involved in a dispute with a female which escalated into a physical confrontation. On Friday, May 29, 2020 at approximately 9:31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of an aided male near the corner of Bolton Street and Pelham Parkway, within the confines of the 49th precinct. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 69-year-old male was removed from the location by EMS, and transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, with a laceration to the forehead, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing. The deceased has been identified as: Mejia, Cesar 69-year-old male 2190 Bolton Street
