Cross Bronx Expressway: 30-Year-Old Male Dies in Collision, Investigation Ongoing

On Saturday, May 30, 2020 at approximately 1:47 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision on the Cross Bronx Expressway at the Jerome Avenue exit (2A), within the confines of the 44th precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old male vehicle operator, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma about the body. EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to BronxCare Health System, where he was pronounced deceased. A 35-year-old male passenger was removed to Saint Barnabas Hospital with complaint of bodily pain, via EMS, in stable condition, and a 21-year-old female

NYPD released body-worn camera footage on May 28, 2020 from a police-involved shooting that occurred on Apr. 1, 2020 in the confines of the 45th precinct in the Westchester Square area of the Bronx. The incident, during which eleven shots were fired by NYPD officers, occurred on the southeast corner of Zerega Avenue and Westchester Avenue.
