Police confirm that a man’s bike was stolen and that he was threatened with a bat in Mount Eden at around 2.45 p.m. on Sunday, 3 May. The incident occurred at East 170th Street and Grant Street. One male perpetrator was taken into custody, for whom charges are pending. A second suspect was last seen heading southbound on Morris Avenue from East 170th Street. A search continues for the second suspect. Police and EMS responded to reports of an armed barricade at 1870 Andrews Ave S. in Morris Heights on May 1 at around 2:44 p.m. Police later reported that the suspect had taken hostages.
