Woman Assaulted in Norwood: Man Arrested

Police confirm on Apr. 28 that they received a complaint of an assault on Monday, Apr. 27 at 10:53 p.m. inside a residence located in the vicinity of Knox Place and West Gun Hill Road, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct. A 43-year-old female victim reported to police that after a verbal dispute, she was struck in the head with a box cutter which caused a small laceration to her head, and that she was punched multiple times in the face and arms. Police have confirmed that they are looking for a missing a 30-year-old Asian male. The man is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs 150 pounds. He has dark short hair and was last seen wearing a black Adidas jacket, blue jeans, and brown timberland boots. He was last seen at 5:00 p.m. at Montefiore Hospital, in the Norwood area of the Bronx. The NYS Board of Elections announced the cancellation of the New York State presidential primary today, Apr. 27. The State, congressional and other elections will still go ahead on Jun. 23, as planned. Other state presidential primaries have been postponed in recent weeks but not cancelled. CITIZEN reported that police responded at around 8:20 p.m. on Friday Apr. 24 to a now-confirmed shooting of a man in Morrisania in the South Bronx. The address reported for this incident was 635 Jefferson Pl. The 911 caller reported a Beige Ford Fusion was stolen from the scene by the suspects.
