Police Confirm Two Men Shot at 182nd St. Subway Station in Fordham Heights

The NYPD confirm that two men were shot at 182nd Street subway station (servicing the B & D lines) on the Grand Concourse in Fordham Heights in The Bronx on Saturday, May 22.   Users of the Citizen’s App had reported that police said the incident unfolded on the mezzanine level of the station at around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Friends of Hutchinson River Greenway Hold Clean-Up Event

Local biking enthusiast and Bronxite, Kevin Daloia, recently re-formed the environmental group, Friends of the Hutchinson River Greenway.   Police have arrested an 87-year-old man following an incident at a care center in Co-op City during which an 83-year-old man died.   On Friday, May 21, at approximately 7.16 p.m., police responded to a call regarding an aided person inside one of the rooms at Pinnacle Multi-Care Center, located at 801 Co-op City Boulevard in Co-op City, in the 45th precinct.   Upon arrival, officers observed an 83-year-old man lying on the floor, inside the location.
