  Two local residents, a mother and son, have each been charged with a single count of assault after they both allegedly attempted to choke a young, female Citi Bike rider. Morrisania: Another Murder Inquiry Opens 8 Days After Anti-Gun Violence Vigil is Held

Police have opened a murder investigation following the shooting of a 38-year-old man in the head inside a car in Morrisania.   On Sunday, July 25, at approximately 2.28 a.m. police responded to a call regarding a person who had been shot opposite 589 East 164th Street in Morrisania, in the 42nd precinct.
