UPDATE Norwood: Three Women Charged following Decatur Avenue Beating Incident

Officers from the 52nd precinct were called to a Norwood building on Saturday after a woman reported being beaten by three women inside an apartment.   According to police, officers responded to a 911 call at 12.50 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, after a female victim told police that during a visit to see a person at 3361 Decatur Avenue, located between East 209th Street and East Gun Hill Road in Norwood, three women punched her and pulled her hair.   Officers reported that the victim had sustained multiple scratches to her body and a bloody lip. Trinitarios Gang Member Sentenced to Three Years for Witness Retaliation

Former Trinitarios gang member, Christian Nieves, also known as “Eric Rosario,” and “White Boy,” was sentenced on Tuesday, July 27, to three years in prison in connection with his retaliation against a witness who had testified at a previous, federal murder trial by slashing the witness across the neck with a blade. The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating Julius Daviu, 18, of 1420 Noble Avenue in Soundview who was reported missing in the 43rd precinct. Lehman College Receives $1 Million for Lecture Hall Renovations from BP Capital Funding Budget

Lehman College has received a $1 million allocation in city capital funding through Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz Jr.’s office to upgrade several of its most heavily used lecture halls.   The funding was authorized July 1 as part of New York City’s $98.7 billion budget for fiscal year 2022. Police Continue Hunt for Suspect in Elderly Man’s Bus Assault

  Police continue to search for a suspect wanted in connection with the beating of an elderly man aboard an MTA bus on May 31, 2021.   According to a Twitter post by NYPD Crime Stoppers on Wednesday, July 14, the incident was initially reported on Monday, May 31 on an MTA bus at 5:30 p.m. at East Gun Hill Road and Barnes Avenue in the Olinville section of the Bronx.   The Crime Stoppers post reported at the time, “The unidentified individual assaulted an 83-year-old male victim that was attempting to exit MTA bus 8621.” An accompanying video shows

UPDATE Norwood: Dog Stranded on Second-Story Window Ledge of High-Rise Building
