The Thinkubator, a Bronx-based innovation and workforce development nonprofit, announced the public launch of its “Women’s Empowerment Program” on Monday, May 9. Launched in Fall 2021 at The Thinkubator’s Poughkeepsie satellite office, the nonprofit provides spaces, forums, and opportunities for women to gather, support each other, work on their potential business ideas, and figure out ways to best support their youth as they navigate life.   According to the event organizers, the official launch event will highlight women and youth who are making a difference in their community, raffles will be held with local vendors, and The Thinkubator’s youth interns

Wakefield: Two Men Arrested and Charged with Murder of 46-Year-Old Man on March 10

A 24-year-old man and a 61-year-old man have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Wakefield on March 10. On Thursday, March 10, at approximately 00.14 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 730 East 227th Street, located in the 47th precinct in Wakefield.   Upon arrival, police observed a 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. University Heights: Three Sought following Multiple Shooting of 28-Year-Old Male Victim

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individuals seen in the attached photographs who are sought in connection to a shooting that occurred in the University Heights section of The Bronx.
