  The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 27-year-old man reported missing from Van Nest, located in the 49th Precinct.   Majed Alwan of 1704 Van Buren Street, Bronx, NY was last seen on Tuesday, July 5, at approximately 10.30 a.m. leaving his home. He is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, has brown hair, brown eyes, and a mustache. Norwood: Bronx Community Charter School Celebrates Juneteenth at the Oval

Bronx Community Charter School held a Juneteenth celebration in the Williamsbridge Oval in Norwood on Monday, June 20, to commemorate what is now an official national holiday. Off-Duty Police Officer Arrested for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing & Unlawful Imprisonment

An off-duty New York City employee has been arrested in the 49th precinct which covers Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens.   On Monday, July 4, at 11.08 p.m., NYPD Police Officer Kelvin White, 43, was arrested while off duty and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and unlawful imprisonment.   White became a police officer in July 2010 and is assigned to the Yankee Stadium detail. UPDATE Norwood: Burst Water Mains Creates River on Bainbridge Ave & East 206th Street

An apparent broken water mains wreaked havoc on early morning commuters in Norwood as Bronxites returned to work after the long, holiday weekend, sending water flowing into the subway and closing a popular corner coffee shop as water to the entire building was shut off.   According to an unidentified MTA worker, the burst pipe occurred some time before 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at the intersection of East 206th Street and Bainbridge Avenue. Water was seen coming up from multiple locations in the street and even from the wall and ceiling at the East 205th Street subway station.

Woodlawn Heights: Man Suffers Severe Head Trauma Injury following Road Accident

Bronx Woman & Teen Son Charged with Murder of her 7-Year-Old Daughter Julissia Batties

West Farms: Woman Dies following Hit & Run Incident
