Bronx Doctor Wins Gold Award from Society of Abdominal Radiology

Bronx doctor and chair of the department of radiology at Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Judy Yee, MD, FSAR, has been awarded a gold medal from the Society of Abdominal Radiology, the organization’s highest honor. The society named only three gold medalists this year, including Yee. A Bronx High School of Science graduate who received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yee is a nationally recognized leader in radiology, according to a spokesperson from Montefiore. The NYPD said a 55-year-old man has been arrested following an assault outside a restaurant in Fordham Heights. Police said on Friday, Aug. 12, at around 10.45 p.m., cops responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been assaulted in front of the “Fuego Tipico Restaurant” located at 163 East 188th Street. A 59-year-old woman has died following a freak incident during which a tree apparently fell into an occupied swimming pool in Spuyten Duyvil.
