NYC Department of Housing, Preservation and Development (HPD) has launched an affordable housing lottery for units at 1760 Grand Avenue, a 7-story, mixed-use building in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.   Designed by Gino Longo Architect, and developed by Benjamin Sadykov of RBM Fundings LLC, the structure yields 15 residential units, according to YIMBY. Bedford Park: Local Man Charged in Valentine Avenue Shooting

  A 25-year-old local man was arrested for attempted murder and other charges following a daylight shooting in Bedford Park earlier this month.   Officers from the 52nd Precinct were called to Valentine Avenue and East 197th Street for a report of shots fired on Saturday, April 15. Greek Heritage Month Celebrated in Kingsbridge ahead of Greek Independence Day Parade in Manhattan

Norwood: Search for 14-Year-Old Missing Boy

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 14-year-old boy reported missing from Norwood.   It was reported to police that Michael Harripul of 3349 Hull Avenue was last seen on Tuesday, April 25, at around 6 p.m., leaving his home. Riverdale: Man Arrested following Road Accident which Killed 99-Year-Old Female Pedestrian

A 54-year-old Riverdale man has been arrested following the death last year of a 99-year-old female pedestrian, also from Riverdale.   As previously reported, the 99-year-old died after she was struck by an SUV while attempting to cross an intersection in southeast Riverdale, just west of the Kingsbridge border, on July 27, at around 8.30 a.m.   Police said officers were flagged down regarding a pedestrian who had been struck at Oxford Street and West 235th Street on the day of the incident. UPDATE 15-Year-Old Fordham Manor Missing Girl Located

NYPD officials said a 15-year-old girl who had been reporting missing from Fordham Manor has been located.   Prior to being located, police had said that Khaidley Rodriguez had last been seen on Sunday, April 23, at around 3 a.m. inside her Heath Avenue home. She was described as female, around 5 feet, 4 inches tall, Black Hispanic, weighing around 126 pounds, with brown eyes and dark colored hair.   On Monday, May 1, police said the 15-year-old had been “located safely.”

Norwood: Man Arrested in Ongoing Murder Inquiry following Stabbing of 53-Year-Old Man

The NYPD has launched a murder inquiry following the death of a 53-year-old man in Norwood on Tuesday, April 25.   Police said that on Thursday, April 13, at approximately 12.07 in the afternoon, officers from the 52nd Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been stabbed at the corner of Bainbridge Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway North in Norwood.   “Upon arrival, officers observed a 53-year-old male with stab wounds to the torso,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious condition.”   According
