Grace Rosa Baez, a former Bronx NYPD police officer, pled guilty in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, April 16, to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and para-fluorofentanyl, before U.S. District Judge Denise L. Cote, federal prosecutors said.

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Tuesday, April 16, that a Bronx man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for fatally shooting two men and wounding another inside a building hallway in Claremont, in retaliation for the killing of his uncle in the summer of 2020.

NYC Department of Small Businesses Services (SBS) is urging more than 17,000 active, construction workers to apply to SBS’s no-cost training program after their site safety training (SST) cards issued by Valor Consulting were deactivated following the revocation of the company’s status as a city-approved, safety training course provider. Those who apply will receive new replacement cards instead.
