Democratic State Committee Member Morgan Evers and Democrat Aaron Stayman announced on Jan. 18 that they are partnering to run as New York State Democratic Committee candidates in the 81st Assembly District in the June 25th Democratic Primary.

The New York City Police Department said a 17-year-old male youth from Fordham Manor who was reported missing in January 2024 has been located.

In partnership with the nonprofit New Yorkers 4 Parks (NY4P) which each year organizes the cityside “Daffodil Project,” in honor of various New Yorkers who have died, students of two local public schools based in Norwood came together on Nov. 9 to plant 400 donated daffodil bulbs.

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark today announced that a Bronx man was sentenced to five to 10 years in prison for asphyxiating his seven-week-old son because the boy would not stop crying.

Michael Heller announced Jan. 10 that he is running for re-election as a member of the New York State Democratic Committee, representing the 81st Assembly District, which covers much of the Northwest Bronx includes some or all of the neighborhoods of Norwood, Bedford Park, Wakefield, Woodlawn, Kingsbridge, Fieldston, Riverdale, North Riverdale and Spuyten Duyvil.
