The Restorative Wellness Playground is a program with a mission to develop deeper, personal, physical and mental health throughout Bronx Community College (BCC) and its extended community by learning to authentically practice self-care. This includes expressing an individual’s own voice, exercising one’s choices, and the personal narrative of joyously telling one’s own story.

UPDATE State Sen. Gustavo Rivera Arrested & Later Released in Manhattan Amid ICE Protest

State Sen. Gustavo Rivera (S.D. 33) as well as 70 others, including seemingly ten other elected officials, including City Comptroller and former Democratic mayoral candidate, Brad Lander, were arrested on Thursday evening, Sept. 18, inside or near 26 Federal Plaza courthouse in Manhattan as an ICE [U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement] protest took place nearby, according to various sources. Protestors had been calling for an end to the disappearance, seemingly but inconclusively, by federal agents of various New Yorkers including high school students, off the streets and courthouses of the City.

Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) released a statement on Friday, Sept. 19, following her opposition to a resolution “honoring the life and legacy” of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, 31, who was murdered allegedly by lone shooter Tyler Robinson during a Utah Valley University college campus event on Sept. 10, one of many held by Kirk during which he, students and members of the public typically debated various topics. The resolution later passed in the U.S. House of Representatives, Politico reported.
