Unable to host large gatherings for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bronxites were out in full force last month, attending a nature tour of Woodlawn Cemetery, participating in a clean-up event at Bronx Community College, as well as joining other events held across the borough, all in celebration of Earth Day [April 22]. The intersection of Mosholu Parkway and East Bainbridge Avenue was transformed into showgrounds for an open air circus, last month, in celebration of Earth Day, as the parkway was cleared of cars as part of a citywide Department of Transportation (DOT) Car Free Day, marking, once again, the annual event which promotes more sustainable living.
