UPDATE Man Smashes Windows of Bank as New Audit Highlights Issues with Homelessness Process

  Police report that a man broke several windows of a Capital One Bank branch located at Bainbridge Avenue and East 206th Street in Norwood on Wednesday morning, Feb. 9, and was subsequently arrested.   The NYPD said officers responded to the incident, which took place inside the vestibule of the bank, located at 3159 Bainbridge Avenue, and which houses a number of ATM machines on Wednesday at 5.20 a.m.   They said it was reported to police that a man had broken multiple ATM vestibule windows, using a hammer. NYS Department of Labor Announces Insulation & Asbestos Worker Apprenticeships

The New York State Department of Labor announced on Monday, Feb. 7, that the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) for Heat & Frost Insulators, Local Union #12 A.J.E.F., will conduct a recruitment drive from March 7 through March 18, 2022 for 20 insulation and asbestos worker apprentices.   DOL officials said the 20 openings listed for the apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions – the Long Island and New York City regions of the state.   They said this is a limited-application recruitment drive, and only 200 applications will be distributed, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
