Garifuna Heritage Celebrated at Bronx Borough Hall
Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson joined author José Francisco Aviles and The Garifuna Coalition, USA, Inc. for an evening celebrating Garifuna culture, tradition, and music in the Rotunda of Bronx Borough Hall on Thursday, March 7. The colorful celebration included performances of traditional folk dances and songs.

Bronx Zoo Gets $17 Million Energy Upgrade

Gould Memorial Library, located on Bronx Community College campus, is among several New York City buildings to win a 2024 Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award. Jazz Fellowship Applications Open for Black Women or Black Non-Binary Jazz Musicians at BKCM
Applications are now open for the next round of the Jazz Leaders Fellowship at The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (BKCM), a 126-year-old nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through the educational and therapeutic powers of music. Applications must be submitted by May 15 and the winners will be announced in June.
