University Heights: Two Sought for Knifepoint Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the two people seen in the attached video who they said are wanted in connection with a knifepoint robbery that occurred in University Heights. 

Assemblyman Dinowitz Pleased City Council Moving Ahead with Gun Safety Law Similar to His State Law Passed Last Year

Bronx Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz (A.D. 81) has said he is pleased that the City Council is moving ahead with gun reform legislation that is similar to a law he sponsored at State level which passed last year. He said earlier this year, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed into law his bill which requires the posting of notices and handing out of those notices when an individual obtains a gun license.

Clark announced Monday, Oct. 27, that a Bronx man has been charged with second-degree murder and related charges in the fatal shooting of a 57-year-old man who was using a walker at the time he was shot and the wounding of a 34-year-old woman after the man fired at a group of men in the Fordham section of The Bronx in May of this year, as reported.
