Williamsbridge: Man Sought in Connection with Burglary

  The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individual seen in the attached photos and video who is wanted for questioning in relation to a commercial burglary that occurred in the 47th precinct.   On Sunday, Sept. 19, at approximately 4.29 p.m., inside 3391 Boston Road (Clean & Green Laundromat), in Williamsbridge, the unidentified man entered the office of the location and removed a bag containing over $10,000 in cash before fleeing in an unknown direction.     Surveillance photos and video are attached.   Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime

Norwood: Man Cut & Robbed in Bainbridge Avenue Building

Police are looking for the suspect who slashed a man on the arm before stealing personal property from two victims inside a Bainbridge Avenue building in Norwood.   Police say the incident was reported at 7:41 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, inside 3591 Bainbridge Avenue. Officers from the 52nd precinct reported that a 20-year-old male victim got into a verbal dispute with the suspect, who displayed a knife and caused a small laceration to the victim’s arm. The suspect then forcibly removed property from both the victim and from an 18-year-old female victim. Police report no arrests in the case

October marks Domestic Violence (DV) Awareness Month. Between 2017 and 2018, intimate partner homicides in the Bronx increased by 85.7 percent, from seven in 2017, to 13 in 2018, according to a 2019 report by the New York City DV Fatality Review Committee. UPDATE Officer Charged with Assault & Criminal Mischief in 50th Precinct

The NYPD confirm that on Friday, Oct. 1, at 00.01 a.m., an off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 50th precinct.   Jermack Romero, 39, an NYPD officer with the 44th precinct in the Bronx, was charged with two offenses: assault and criminal mischief.   In response to a follow-up inquiry, the NYPD confirmed by phone to the Norwood News on Sunday, Oct. 3, that the two charges arose from a domestic violence incident. Bedford Park: Woman Stabbed in Chest on BX41 MTA Bus

Williamsbridge Man Sentenced in Fatal Grand Concourse Crash

  A Williamsbridge man who was convicted of manslaughter and assault following a horrific crash which occurred on the Grand Concourse in 2018, has been sentenced to four to ten-years in prison.   David Fennell, 49, of East 218th Street, was behind the wheel of a 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML 350, as he sped along the Grand Concourse at East 175th Street at 11 a.m. on May 18, 2018.
