UPDATE Bronx Man Indicted for Allegedly Vandalizing Multiple Synagogues in Northwest Bronx

  Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Friday, Oct. 8, that Jordan Burnette was indicted on multiple charges, including criminal trespass as a hate crime, for defacing multiple synagogues in the Northwest Bronx earlier this year, as reported at the time by Norwood News.     Clark said the defendant, Burnette, 30, of Riverdale, was arraigned on a 76-count indictment before Bronx Supreme Court justice, Lester Adler on Friday. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a warning to New Yorkers, once again in recent days, to be wary of fraud and scam artists. Fordham Manor: Man Pulls Knife on Store Employee during Theft

Police are looking for an unidentified man who pulled a knife on a 32-year-old female store employee, after the man was caught attempting to steal items from a store in Fordham Manor.   The incident took place on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 25, inside a store at 133 East Fordham Road. Charges Dropped against Sen. Sepúlveda in DV Case; Witness Does Not Wish to Testify

The Bronx District Attorney has dropped all charges against State Sen. Luis Sepúlveda who, as reported, was charged with allegedly attempting to choke his estranged wife at his West Farms home on Jan. 9, 2021.   A source at the Bronx District Attorney’s office said on Monday, Oct. 4, “The case against (Luis) Sepúlveda was dismissed today. Norwood: Man Shot on Hull Avenue

Police are looking for the gunman who shot a 43-year-old man in Norwood. The NYPD say the man was hit in the abdomen at 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, in front of 3128 Hull Avenue at East 204th Street. The still-unidentified suspect fled the area. Fordham Manor: Man Stabbed during Jerome Avenue Robbery

Police are looking for the assailant who stabbed a 57-year-old male victim in the abdomen during a robbery in the Fordham Manor section of the Bronx.   According to police, the incident was reported at 4:14 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, at the corner of Jerome Avenue and West 192nd Street.
